Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to dedicate much time to blogging this week–besides the fact that it’s my last week of school, I’m also heavily occupied preparing for our church’s upcoming missions project. But although I don’t have time to write a real article at this point, I would like to share some more postings of synodical singing. While these collages are not truly videos, each of the pictures in the slideshows was taken during the week of synod, either at Nyack College or at nearby West Point. Here’s one of my favorite songs, which opened Tuesday morning’s session: Psalter Hymnal 277, “Gracious Lord, Remember David” (from Psalm 132).
Below are the two songs with which synod closed: “The Lord’s My Shepherd” (number 38 from Psalm 23) and the Doxology. Both were incredibly moving. You can’t miss the a cappella stanza in number 38.
Here’s the Doxology.
I hope you enjoy these recordings. Don’t forget to check back, because more will be posted soon!
