Lord's Day 1

The year 2013 marked the 450th anniversary of the writing of one of the Reformed faith’s most beloved documents, the Heidelberg Catechism.  Over the years this down-to-earth question-and-answer summary of the Christian faith has endeared itself to many generations.  As the Reformed world commemorated the Catechism’s anniversary with special music, articles, videos, and conferences, URC Psalmody joined the festivities with a week-by-week meditation on each of the confession’s fifty-two sections.  Blue Psalter Hymnals in hand, we also suggested three to six psalm settings to complement the theme of each Lord’s Day.

If you’re looking for music to accompany a particular section of the Catechism, or would just like to learn more about what this historic and beautiful document contains, we hope you find the following index of URC Psalmody’s Heidelberg-related posts helpful.
